Prestigious Organization is seeking a BI Developer with IBM/Unica Campaign Management experience.
The BI Developer position is responsible for supporting the company's Enterprise Business Intelligence implementations in a 24x7 production environment. Requires working with key business partners and analysts to develop and deploy BI solutions meeting the needs of the business; delivering the information needed to make critical business decisions in support of providing our customers the best possible experience. Additionally, this role is accountable for monitoring and managing system stability, including availability, performance and documentation.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for support of the company's Unica Campaign Management implementations
Works closely with functional and technical teams to implement and maintain optimal environment
Consults with business areas on matters relating to system connections, security, user accounts, and creation of data models
Assists users with the workflow design, scheduling, and troubleshooting
Monitors and maintains system performance and provides statistical reporting
Participates in requirement meetings with Business Analysts to understand analytical content needs
Works with end-users to help identify issues and to refine requirements.
Develops detailed enhancement specifications based on business requirements.
Analyzes functional specifications and assist in designing potential technical solutions.
Assists in the development, execution and documentation of system and integration test plans.
Executes test plans and tests solutions following standards and architecture
Performs impact analysis for systems/database modifications.
Required Work Experience
5+ years relevant work experience required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience required
Understanding of UNICA Campaign Management Tools
Experience with database engines including Oracle, SQLServer, Essbase, Hadoop (and other big data solution providers)
Knowledge of application performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
Familiarity with Data Warehousing methodology and techniques.
Specific Technical Skills Related to this Role
Development experience working with UNICA (IBM Campaign) or others
Experience with configuring, tuning and maintaining UNICA
Knowledge of other BI tools such as Cognos, SAS, Hyperion, Unica, Crystal and Business Objects considered a plus
Additional Technical Skills Related to this Role
Business Applications: Billing & Rating, Activation & Provisioning, Inventory Management, Sales & Marketing, Campaign Management, Dealer Compensation/Sales Commission, CRM/Customer Service.
Experience with symantic Layers in BI Applications that support Models, Reports, Cubes, Dashboards
Experience working with Applications in a Unix Environment
Experience coding JAVA procedures/jobs and using triggers in a BI Environment
Experience with Oracle, SQLServer, Essbase, Hadoop
Knowledge of Oracle SQL development techniques, including PL/SQL a plus
Office Automation: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Planning & Design: Microsoft Project, Visio
O/S & Network: IBM AIX, Sun Solaris, HP/UX
