Company in Peachtree City, GA is seeking an experienced Manager of Software Alliance.

Job is Full time with excellent benefits, and base salary is up to $140k/year.

NOTE:

This is one of the company's outside sales positions, so this person should have a solid background in IT, but also have done sales. JOB WILL REQUIRE 50% TRAVEL NATIONWIDE.

Position Summary

Manages and directs the activities of company's Software Alliance Program. This position involves close interaction with sales leads, partner leads, product architects, internal cross-functional management team members, and key customers. Works as a liaison between the Sales, Innovation and Strategy and Product Development groups. Extends the product by gathering requirements from prospects, evaluators and customers, identifying market requirements and working with business analysts to create requirement documents and product roadmaps. Proactively seeks and educates prospective technology and business organizations in the supply chain, financial, transportation, IT implementation and logistics industries on company products and services and how they add strategic value to the product offerings and/or Services of these alliances.

Strives to form strategic alliances and long term partnerships that generate financial and good will value to company that will:

Increase market power & market penetration within existing alliances and through the formation and nurturing of new alliances

Create market expansion & access to new markets or new business

Advocates and champions efforts that supports company initiatives to continuously innovate & acquire new skills and/or technology transfer

Gain scale & improve our supply chain market defense & protection

Essential Functions

Works with business analysts, marketing and other key team members to create product positioning and provide content for sales and marketing materials to support commercial efforts.

Works with sales in all manners to efficiently and effectively expedite the onboarding process and implementation of new and existing customers.

Keeps company up to date on partner versions and compatibility with company products.

Proficient in customer and Senior Executive presentations - including developing content for videos, webcasts and podcasts.

Keep leadership team informed of issues that may impact strategic business objectives, relationships and related concerns.

Evaluation and exploration of opportunities for growth in professional services consulting and integration opportunities.

Assumes lead role in identifying new Alliance Partners and works with them to identify the correct products to be integrated into their software solutions and negotiates terms of the licensing agreement.

Works with Alliance Partners to identify, develop and train Alliance Partners personnel in company intellectual property and the value proposition of our products.

Holds regular update meetings with key internal interest groups (sales, business analyst, marketing, and product support/implementation and product development) to discuss business trends, review company initiatives, improve sales and support processes including tech, customer and integration services.

Establishment of good customer relationship involving calling on customer in their office and work with accounts at industry meetings, tradeshows and Alliance group meetings.

Prepares pricing, licensing agreements and contracts for shipper, carrier, 3PL and other customers who use Alliance Partner software solutions and company products.

Works closely with marketing and sales team to develop and implement cooperative marketing and sales opportunities to build business through both general sales channels and the Alliance program.

Responsible for management of daily business relationship of Alliance Partners including problem solving and sales issues.

Responsible for establishment of good customer relationships through the work of all in sales department by maintaining contact through phone, email, customer visits, attendance at industry meetings, tradeshows and alliance group meetings.

Maintains excellent working relationship with sales and ensures esprit de corps.

Supervises the alliance sales support position.

50% nationwide travel required. Some international travel possible.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Undergraduate business or technical degree, MBA preferred.

Previous working experience in similar role necessary.

Knowledge of contracts and business analysis practices and processes.

Professional selling, negotiating and presentation skills.

Ability to speak about and present a clear understanding of technical and business processes at the highest levels of product development.

Working knowledge of technical documentation and integration workflow.

Experience in the logistics and supply chain area with particular emphasis on solutions development, technical process evaluation, business strategy and relationship management.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis.

Strategic and creative thinking.

Highly technical verbal skills and understanding of current developments trends and best practices.
