About the Role:
This role will work closely with Technology Leadership, Program Managers, and Product Owners while figuring out how our new products and features should be architected. This role will also have a focus on developing best practices that will be used by the iOS Team. You will lead the team in building an engaging experience that will allow our members to listen, search, share, and discover music in ways that have not been created on iOS prior.
About You:
You enjoy leading your team through all the technical challenges that arise with building the world’s next generation music experience. You have a background in practical development of the iOS Platform that is strong enough to assist engineers on the team that may not have similar experience.
You are a whiz at thinking through complex situations quickly while keeping your eye on big picture goals and understand how all the pieces will fit into place. Last but not least you have the desire to collaborate across the organization, have superior communications skills, and a passion to lead your team.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the iOS Development Team
Architect new features on iOS
Build next generation Music applications across the iOS Platform
Iterate with Product Management and Design team to fine tune user experience
Actively participate and lead design discussions and code reviews
Work closely with QA engineers to identify and fix product defects
What you bring to the table:
Enthusiasm for developing in SWIFT
Have a passion for Music
Passion for the iOS Platform
4+ years of comprehensive experience with iOS development or Mac OS X development
4+ years of working in-depth with Objective C
Experience in planning and estimating software projects
Expert knowledge of major frameworks like Core Data and Core Audio
Familiarity with other audio applications and digital music
Ability to react swiftly to changing requirements and develop/explore alternative solutions
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated experience developing multi-threaded mobile apps that leverage web services
Solid experience writing unit tests
Comfortable with agile/scrum development process
Successfully released apps in the app store (please include names)
A strong commitment to developing quality applications
Strong knowledge of object oriented development and design patterns
Well versed in software development best practices
Strong execution skills: getting things done, delivering on schedule
Problem solver: thinks things through, knows when and how to ask for help
Computer Science B.S. degree
