We currently have a Junior Designer position available in our Dallas, TX office, focusing on multifamily residential and mixed-use projects. The Junior Designer will assist the Senior Designer with projects, from initial concept through the design development phase. This professional’s responsibilities will include collaborating with clients/consultants and the Design team to develop overall project design, ensuring design quality via precise documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

Participates in client meetings and presents creative concepts to clients

Participates in concept, schematic, and design development phases of the project

Produces plans, sections, elevations and working sketches

Provides assistance and input on code research

Reviews the plat survey, topography, photos, market study and program requirements to produce land plans

Adheres to time constraints and established deadlines

Foster client relationships to generate repeat business and future business referral opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor or Masters’s Degree in Architecture or Urban Design/Planning is required

3+ years of experience in a related architectural design position

Experience and knowledge of architectural design, urban design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction techniques

Previous exposure with small to large scale multifamily housing projects – from high-rise to mixed-use and affordable to luxury housing

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch Up, V-Ray and other graphic software

Excellent design and graphics skills

Strong interpersonal and organization skills as well as high attention to detail

Excellent timely, clear and concise written and verbal communication

Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment

Thrive in a challenging and fast paced work environment

Positive attitude with high energy

Minimal travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered architect and/or designer

International Urban/Master Planning experience in a related position

Experience using Revit
