Founded in 2011, Chroma Design Collective is a San Francisco based full-service interior design firm led by Alexis Tompkins and Leann Conquer.

We are currently hiring for the following role: INTERIOR DESIGN ASSISTANT

POSITION

We are seeking an Interior Design Assistant with 2-4 years of experience to join our creative team of design professionals. The person in this role will assist in the execution of residential projects assigned to them as well as play a supportive role on larger scale projects managed by Senior team members and Alexis and Leann, the principals of the studio. This position requires a motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment and is looking to grow and develop their skills.

He/She will be a core member of a growing firm that is poised for significant impact in the design industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Assist in all phases of multiple design projects. Day to day functions include Drafting, Vendor

– Correspondence, Presentations, Key Project Schedules, Budgets, Purchasing and Installation.

– Assist with design presentations

– Assist in preparing project boards depicting furniture, finishes and fabric schemes

– Visit showrooms to select materials and secure samples

– Research products, specifications, availability, and obtain quotes as needed

– Draft proposals and purchase orders

– Interface with accounts payable as needed (invoices, purchase orders etc.)

– Coordinate with project manager to manage custom pieces from production to completion andinstallation

– Maintain studio & materials library

REQUIREMENTS

– 2-4 years of relevant experience in the interior design industry

– A Service Mindset. We take pride in providing excellent service to all of our clients

– Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Studio Webware, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Hand

– Drawing & Sketching

– Proven ability to plan, organize, and own your role

– Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

– Highly organized with an innate ability to pay attention to detail while also focusing on the big picture.

– You thrive in a team environment

This position is full time, based in San Francisco at our light filled studio in the Mission District. Compensation is based on experience. Chroma Design Collective offers paid vacation, paid team outings and an unlimited supply of great coffee.
