The company are looking for someone to join a growing SEO team. The candidate should have a passion for the internet, eagerness to learn and ideally understand how search engines work.

This role is suitable for someone with a basic understanding of SEO that is looking to improve their knowledge and ability within the sector. You will be responsible for performing Search Engine Optimisation tasks of varying difficulties and will report to a The SEO Director on a day to day basis. Client-facing confidence is desirable, however not necessary. The candidate needs to be able to structure their work load efficiently and have the ability to meet deadlines.

Role Description

Analyse clients’ websites and optimise titles, descriptions and on-page content.

Document and report back to the Team on recommendations that will help the client’s site attain greater traffic, rankings and conversions.

Monitor client website rankings on a daily basis.

Weekly client reporting from Google Analytics, or the client’s analytics package.

Keyword research using Google Adwords and other tools.

Team meetings and email communication with a number of Ayima’s high-value clients.

Work with other SEO consultants to brainstorm new ideas and identify complex issues faced by new and existing clients.

Key Requirements

Good administrative skills including note taking in meetings, effective work scheduling (possibly using a project management tool) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

Excellent literacy skills and the ability to communicate effectively via e-mail.

Demonstration of passion for client brands, individual needs and brand positioning.

General understanding of the Web including, web infrastructure and SEO factors. Experience in running a website in WordPress, or similar, is beneficial.

Understanding of search engines (in particular Google) with knowledge of search operators, algorithmic updates and basic analytics.

Basic understanding of technical aspects of the web including HTML (e.g. titles tags, headings, etc.) and popular frameworks.

Understanding of on page SEO factors including, keyword analysis, basic content creation and different types of content including potential risks e.g. duplicate content.

General understanding of off page SEO factors and how best to utilise for clients.

Experience using online tools and interfaces.
