Haymarket Media Group we are looking for a bright Digital Marketing Apprentice. We are renowned for the great editorial content we produce across a host of different industries with market leading brands such as BrandRepublic, PRWeek, WhatCar? FourFourTwo and many more.

One of the main reasons we are so highly respected by both our readers and our clients is due to the high level of knowledge our editorial employee’s show on each and every product.

We are looking for someone who wants to take the first steps in Digital Marketing career to work on WhatCar? and Autocar, which are two of the UK’s biggest and best car buyers guides.

Working with the digital editor, the successful candidate would primarily develop skills and understanding in the most effective ways to generate promote content across Autocar and What Car?

Major roles would include:

● Establishing the most effective social media channels

● Identifying manufacturers and dealers who use social media

● Working with the digital editor to prioritise effectiveness of our output

● Cataloguing Twitter handles, Facebook pages and other social channels

● Developing skills to use our social media channels

● Working on other forms of content marketing, and developing ideas of how to use it to best effect, with a specific focus on data gathering and newsletters

● Developing an understanding of how to use this information to best effect

● Coming up with ideas to create powerful content, and writing it

● Working with the analytics team to measure effectiveness and respond to needs

● Writing news and developing best practice for how to promote it

● Developing reviewing skills

● Supporting the wider editorial teams

Who are you:

● High attention to detail

● Passion to immerse yourself in the motoring industry

● Social media knowledge would be advantageous

● Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills are essential to be successful

● Creative thinking and an ability to multi-task

● Excellent organisation and time management skills

● Confidence in using Microsoft packages and content management systems (CMS)

Skills you will have:

● At least 5 GSCE’s at grades C or above, including at least a B in English

● At least 2 A Levels (or an equivalent qualification) at grades C or above

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

An interest in cars is not essential, but would significantly enhance enjoyment of the role.
