Position Summary

As a member of Company's marketing team, the Public Relations Manager will cultivate and drive PR and corporate communications activities in support of the company's strategic plan. The Public Relations Manager will collaborate with internal and external constituents to elevate the company's industry profile, improve its perception as a thought leader, and increase sales of our products in support of the company's business objectives.

Key Duties:

Serve as the company's functional leader for media and analyst relations, set a strategic direction for the program, and lead the implementation of the strategy

Create an annual media & analyst relations plan that aligns to business goals

Identify and build nurture relationships with key influential journalists, bloggers, analysts and key influencers

Help develop messaging to analysts that differentiates the Company

Set measurable program goals, analyze, and report on progress

Develop and execute the corporate communications strategy

Create and manage a content calendar aligning external content with Company's product roadmap and thought leadership activities

Author compelling content including press releases, blog posts, and social media posts that align with Company's POV

Amplify Company's voice through award and speaking opportunities

Develop a list of key industry award opportunities, build relationships with the event organizers, and draft and complete competitive submissions

Develop a regular cadence of speaking opportunities and manage deliverables associated with these opportunities by engaging Concurrent spokespersons and customers, identifying appropriate panels, keynotes, and industry events for participation

Promote Company's technology vision through thought leadership activities

Develop thought leadership content such as byline articles, technology papers, and white papers and obtain coverage in key industry publications

Identify and organize technology interviews to promote Company's position as a thought leader

Stay current on relevant industry research, market trends, and competitive messaging to provide sales and marketing with actionable intelligence that can help increase sales effectiveness

Keep marketing, product marketing, and sales abreast of industry trends and competitive news

Understand analyst attitudes/sensibilities in order to better influence their opinions and garner their support

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English, business or related field

At least 4 years of related industry analyst experience with a successful track record in building corporate programs and creating and delivering effective communications

Relationship with key media across the cable and telecom industries

Experience working with relatively technical topic materials

Excellent writing and communication skills

Attention to detail, with an ability to manage projects to a fixed deadline

Organization, time management, and creative problem solving skills

Ability to interact with senior level executives to provide regular updates on the PR strategy and progress

Excellent sense of accountability and professional judgment
