Description:
As a Developer for Plastic Mobile’s Toronto headquarters, you will engineer responsive web, tablet web and mobile web browser based applications and sites. You’ll be required to architect, code, debug problematic code, as well as execute general troubleshooting and problem solving. You’ll work alongside our talented project managers, engineers and designers to create award-winning properties.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and build marketing and business-oriented websites – Design, implement, and test – Debug problematic code – Work alongside mobile designers and implement design with attention to detail – Document source code – Problem solving and debugging – Debug problematic code
Desires Skills:
- 1+ years demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (specifically with JQuery framework) – Experience with PHP, Python, RoR or Java is a must – Experience in working within a team environment – Experience with GAE is an asset – Must have experience working with Django – Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, DOM and web standards – Experience working in a Mac or Unix environment – Experience with parsing / writing XML, JSON – Comfortable with OO programming – Familiar with source code control systems – Familiar with web-based testing and QA processes – GUI design experience – Experience with AJAX would be an asset
