Yoshinoya is back with renovations and new dishes to surprise Pinoy foodies in the metro. After its re-opening last April in SM North, Yoshinoya Century Pacific Inc., re-opened its newest store at Level 1, East Wing Robinsons Galleria Ortigas. Born in1899 under a Japanese named Eikichi Matsuda, the story of Yoshinoya which began in Nihonbashi, a humble fish market in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, when Mr. Matsuda created the delicious recipe of beef and rice known as Gyudon (beef bowl). It became a hole in the wall from Yoshino-Cho, Osaka where Mr. Matsuda created his first restaurant featuring delicious, affordable and fast meals. Yoshinoya became a corporate company operating more than 1,000 outlets now as one of the biggest fastfood important brands around the globe. Century Pacific Group entered a franchise agreement in December 2001. Now with five stores in Metro Manila, SM Megamall, North EDSA, Mall of Asia, Manila and Glorietta, the company pushes to improve with newly renovated stores and more delectable dishes popular to Pinoy taste.

Now in partnership with Ihanat Foods Corporation by Mr. Timothy James Yang, Yoshinoya Century Pacific Inc., serves Japanese dishes catered to the Pinoy's preferences. I was surprised with the Pink Coleslaw thinking it'd be sweet. It was as its name pink and it's coleslaw punctuated with the fresh fruity taste of celery bits. The piece de resistance at every bento meal was the Tiramisu. It was a slice of soft cake that's not too sweet and not too slimy. It's just a perfect ending to a meal at Yoshinoya and I'd probably prefer them serve it solo at times I'm just craving for it.

Yoshinoya now also serves different types of ramen for your noodle cravings with broth concocted from the creators of the enigmatic Beef Bowl (Gyudon) in Japan. I'd probably go back for more of their famous Kani Salad and their affordable yummy Miso Soup and Maki Sushi on my next visit. Have some of their Jumbo Meals to share with friends and family for as low as Php195 (serves 3-4)! Don't miss getting some of their famous Beef Bowl (Gyudon) sure to leave an impression.
