SECTION HEAD, OPERATION

Plans, Supervises and directs the operation of the units and systems in his assigned section of Refinery operations. Education Details :

ENG OPERATING

Assists the concerned Section Head in the day-to-day functioning enabling him to concentrate on plant trouble shooting, improvement in systems & procedures and other developmental activities. Participates in planning and scheduling of operations, start-up and shutdown of units and co-ordinates all maintenance, process engineering, inspection and safety related work for the assigned units.

SUPERVISOR ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION

Job Summary

Supervises contractors site works. Check quality of electrical installation works as per KNPC Specifications and New Standards. Make site measurements for completed items of work. Supervises Engineering Projects carried out by Construction Section such as new petrol filling stations, modernizations of Old Petrol Filling Stations and Construction work within Sabhan and Ahmadi Deports, Lube Oil Plants and other local marketing facilities. Review Contractors payment certificates and cross check with his scope

ENG (B) PROJECTS COORDINATION

Qualification :

Job Summary :

ENG ELECTRICAL

Job Description & Responsibilities:

ENG DRILLING

Job Description & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for planning & Operations input as well as execution for drilling development wells offshore.

2. Work independently to perform technical drilling engineering for well design, cost estimates, project planning & review of rig design, overall major project drilling operations for performance optimization.

3. Participate in field reviews, peer reviews, optimization studies, and local operational knowledge/experience gathering.

4. Wells are managed from the cradle to the grave, all 5 phases of CPDEP in this position.

5. Other duties will include contract Management, performance tracking, writing SOPs, offshore visits, and onshore Drilling Superintendent relief.

6. This position will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop drilling services contract, both strategically & tactically on a daily basis across all operations, working to CHESM guidelines.

7. Initially this position will be addressing a new operation start up from scratch requiring all contracts & materials to be put in place.

Education Qualification:

Work Experience:

SPECIALIST BUDGET & COST

Purpose & Scope

Liaises with all departments of KGOC, WJO and KJO to facilitate the preparation of operating and capital budgets, monitors actual expenditure against budgets on a monthly basis. Reports on variances and explains reasons for the purpose of effective cost and budgetary control.

Function and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates the annual budgeting process. Includes reviewing KPC guidelines, circulating guidelines to departments to prepare their budgets, providing comparative tables of budgets and actual costs for the previous year, analyzing proposed budgets, discussing budget proposals with departments concerned to ascertain reactions for changes from the previous years, consolidating figures for all departments and presenting them for approval

2. Support Team Leader in preparation of annual Operating (OPEX) Budget

3. Prepares/reviews the preparation of Cash Flow, forecasts, including highlighting of funding recurements to executive management

4. Reviews Budget Variation requests, provides advices and participates in approval Budget Variations/amendments during the financial year.

5. Prepare monthly management reports showing actual expenditure versus budget, variances and reasons therefor. Makes provisions for accruals and prepayments as required. For Wafra and Khaji 50% of expenditure is for KGOCs account.

6. Supports Team Leader in setting up of KGOC as Profit Center within KPC.

7. Maintains and reconciles accounts of quantities of Oil & Gas produced, shipped & lifted.

8. As part of a team, carries out/reviews the preparation and publication of Internal Management Accounts and submits to Team Leader

9. Identifies improvements to reporting systems & escalates to Team Leader with data, justifications an recommendations.

10. Carries out other similar or related duties such as assisting in external and internal audits, reviewing correspondence; directing preparation of various statislical returns; ensuring compilation of all data relating to asssets classification & creation, movement, write off etc; undertaking special assignments as directed; and adhering to HSEMS rules and regulations.

Sr GEOLOGIST

Purpose& Scope :

Directs and controls various geological activities, including preparation of geological portion of reservoir studies, exploratory project of local and regional nature, programs for exploratory and development of drilling and surveillance of geological activities related to drilling location

Functions & Responsibilities

1. Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel.

2. Conducts and supervises tectonic and sedimentary basin studies for evaluation of their hydrocarbon generation potential and their structural evolutation relating to Hydrocarbon Migration and Accumulation.

3. Evaluates hydrocarbon potential of lead areas by conducting and supervising geological, geochemical and petrophysical studies which lead to recommendations for exploratory and appraisal drilling locations

4. Conducts and supervises field studies using modern logging techniques, including latest computer technology and core analysis techniques. Plans and submits recommendations and proposals for exploration and delineation of field areas.

5. Organizes and supervises geological description of field reservoirs and co-ordinates with Reservoir Engineers on reservoir simulation and other reservoir studies as they are required and calculates volumetric oil in place.

6. Reviews and evaluates geological reports prepared by subordinate Geologists, and ensures that they are accurate. Writes and/or apprises specialized report as assigned

7. Supervises the maintenance of geological records and filling system, which includes a variety of important documents and confidential data

8. Performs related duties such as ensuring sufficiency of conventional core analysis and thin section and evaluations of well cuttings and ocres, co-ordinating with contractors professional staff engaged in logging and drilling and observing Fire & EHS regulations

Minimum Requirements :

Academic : Bachelor Degree in Geology

Related Work Experience : At least 8 years experience in Petroleum Geology, including knowledge of the Gulf Area geology and 4 years in development geology

CHIEF HR OFFICER

Purpose & Scope

Guides administration of the HR function as assigned related to Manpower and Redeployment, Recruitment, Compensation, Personnel Administration, Training & Career Development, and Insurance. Guides and ensures all activities performed comply with Company Policies and Procedures.

Function & Responsibilities

1. Supervision :Directs the activities of subordinates and delegates and distributes the work in order to meet the deadlines

2. Policy Implementation : Guides subordinates in implementation of KGOC HR Policy and Procedures and ensures that relevant information related to area of responsibility is provided to employees, external agencies and public

3. Manpower: Ensures that statistics an company manpower & annual estimates including manpower tables are updated and maintained; and processes requests related to manpower transactions including transfers and ensures such transactions are authorized, accurate and within approved manpower. Guides Analysts carrying out analyses and preparing statistical manpower reports.

4. Recruitment : Reviews and guides recruitment process up to the designated level including receiving notification of vacancy; arranging for advertising; screening & Short listing applications; tests and interviews, sending employment offers to selected candidates and processing of employee contracts and related documents including contract renewal.

5. Compensation : Administers processing of employee benefits and related documentation, including salary, promotions & salary revisions, leaving benefits, injury/industrial death compensation, company loan, salary advance, incentive scheme, spot bonus payments, Public Institution for Social Security (PISS) payments and KPC Social Security Fund

6. Personal Administration: Administers Personnel Admin, functions including but not limited to, all types of leaves, service awards, housing renewal, and service certificates, duties/training courses abroad, change of family status and outside medical treatment. Reviews legal documents and liaises with other departments and external bodies to ensure administration of Companys Policy

7. Training & Career Development : As assigned by Supervisor, implements training & career development programs, study leave, internal and external training courses, assessing training effectiveness and ensuring maintenance of related records

8. Insurance : Guides and ensures the implementation of personal insurance process and related activities for KGOC Employees

9. Investigations : leads teams investigating any issues raised by employees or departments/teams through site visits, interviewing employees and supervisors and prepares report on findings, highlighting important facts and making suitable recommendations

10. Employee Resignation/Termination : Implements processes related to employees leaving the services of KGOC, including maintaining related lists, ensuring that all formalities including exit interviews are completed, and liasing with their Groups/Teams to confirm effective date of resignation/termination.

11. HR Studies : Carries out and/or participates in special studies related to various HR Issues as directed by Supervisor

12. Others : carries out other similar or related duties such as providing training/knowledge transfer to UDs and UTs, serving as member of committees/sub committees inside & outside the company conducting site visits to Companys Groups/Teams, other K Companies and Government bodies to coordinate and discuss requirements and solve discrepancies, preparing presentations, writing reports/correspondence and adhering to HSEMS rules/regulations. HR CONSULTANT (Manpower & Recruitment)

Provides professional advice and assistance in :

• Preparation of timely and realistic manpower plans and budgets in coordination with various Groups for immediate and future needs; reviewing and improving manpower policy, processes and procedures; and provides inputs for manpower trends in the oil and gas sector for better planning and forecasting.

• Strategic, business and operational matters related to recruitment at local and international candidates; reviewing and improving recruitment policies and procedures in line with current international trends; and developing systems whereby appropriate recruitments are made within short time frames. Ensures better sourcing for the additional skill set requirements for projects such as Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), Central Gas Utilization Project (CGUP), etc.

Main Tasks

A. Manpower

1. Reviews manpower forecasts and requirements received from different groups with justifications of business needs; provides recommendations and integrates long term (5 years manpower plan) with company activities

2. Follows up and provides analysis regarding the implementation of 5 years manpower plans

3. Provides feedback on manpower in terms of variances from plans trends in availability of skills and its impact and corrective actions; trends in manpower composition such as average employee age, nationality percentages, etc

4. Guides on policy, procedure and documentation matters so as to expedite manpower assessment and planning.

5. Assists in maintaining a consistent approach in decisions related to Job titles, transfers, promotions etc. in the organization.

6. Guides so that policies on Kuwatization are met and Manpower related decisions are taken as per regulations

7. Recommends specific manpower studies such as trends in leave, absenteeism, overtime and advises corrective actions

8. Advises on matter related to Organization Charts and in the correct depictions on manpower changes

9. Reviews Manpower reports to Management to ensure accuracy in reporting

B. Recruitment

1. Reviews justifications and requirements for recruitment and clarifies related qualifications, experience etc., in consultation with users and with the Job Evaluation section

2. Helps to identify priorities in recruitment

3. Advises on internal/local/international recruitment and for special skill sets and their availability

4. Reviews & amends policies, processes and procedures (such as for application processing, interviewing, interviewers selection, related paperwork, etc). to enable timely appropriate candidate selection

5. Advises and participates in application screening, employment tests and interviews for recruitment of senior posts

6. Assesses suitability of Manpower contractors in terms of their capability and suitability of Manpower contractors in terms of their capability and suitability in meeting recruitment requirements

7. Assists in taking adequate steps for achievement of recruitment targets (e.q. Kuwaitization)

8. Reviews employment contracts for accuracy in meeting Kuwait Labour Laws and other regulations

Provides professional advice and assistance in :

• Designing and implementing Career Development (CD) programs for KGOC; proposing policies and procedures and advising modifications/improvements in line with current international trends; supporting search for appropriate internal talent and tailoring development programs for the next generation of leaders

• Designing and implementing strategies and plans for imparting need based Training for KGOC employees; reviewing the Training organized both in house and by other Training Experts in terms of their benefit, relevance, impact, delivery and content and providing recommendations for improvement; and evaluating and selecting appropriate Training Programs and Trainers. Taking up program related to Competency Based Training and Development Systems (CBTDS), Executive Development Plans (EDP), Succession Planning, etc.

Main Tasks :

A. Career Development

1. Assist in finalizing the competency requirements in consultation with related line function so as to plan Career Development activities

2. Develops potential career path for employees and assists in finalization of tailor made programs as per identified competency requirements

Provides advice on Studies required for improving organizational effectiveness e.g. Organization structures in terms of groupings, overlaps/gaps in functions, if any; studies related to Salary Structures, Incentives and Bonus schemes, Grade correlations, HR trends in International Oil and Gas sector, etc. Recommends policies and procedures to be followed for undertaking Special Studies, including the responsibilities for initiation, implementation and maintaining data bases for such studies

Main Tasks:

1. Reviews requests received for special studies in terms of the nature, impact, scope and the team which could be assigned. Provides assessment of the need and benefits from such studies and recommends accordingly.

2. Helps to finalize terms of reference and other aspects for taking up such studies

3. Helps to ensure that an appropriate in-house team is formed for association with the study and for liaison

4. Monitor study progress and ensures presentations to management and to stakeholders

5. Reviews study results in terms of the impact and benefits achieved as against the proposed

ENG MECHANICAL (Reliability)

Job Description

1. Provides technical expertise and improvements for rotating and non-rotating mechanical equipment, i.e pumps, compressors, valves, piping and pressure vessels.

2. Provides plant with latest mechanical engineering technology required to support mechanical equipment under the jurisdiction of maintenance and production management

3. Leads improvement teams in their use of tools and techniques to improve equipment performance : i.e. RCA, RCM, FRACAS, PM and PdM

4. Reviews and prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports for defining equipment problems and makes recommendation for improvements

5. Provides in depth analysis and evaluation of mechanical equipment problems

6. Develops engineering packages and coordinates the implementation of solutions to equipment problems

7. Trains and develops specialists and technicians in technology applications

8. Has direct contact with the technology groups and represents the site on technology committees and meetings

Job Description

Job Description :

Instrument Engineer with his broad knowledge and experience provides technical expertise to the maintenance activity of all type of instrumentation controls, all type of Analyzers Instruments, ESDs, DCS system and safety protection system programmable logic control PLC in the plans and workshop. Carry our new installations, modifications and updates when required and authorized by PIC management

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Assuring reliable maintenance and testing and calibration to meet all PIC standard quality and safety regulations

INSURANCE SPECIALIST

Job Summary :

Implements specific risk financing solutions in place that respond to pure risks identified by the Corporate Risk Management department to minimize the cost of risk to the group. Assists in the risk identification, implementation and monitoring financing solutions in the group companies statistical analysis and claims management

Major Duties :

1. Prepares underwriting information for various lines of insurance used in negotiations with the relevant insurance markets. This is done to ensure maximum leverage in negotiation and make sure the correct premium is charged and paid

2. Checks policy wordings and review effectiveness against claims and possible scenarios. This is done to ensure that the policy of insurance is updated and can respond to claims adequately

3. Analyzes claims in K group by attending meeting and checking adherence to the claims management procedure and payments by insurers. It is done to ensure the correct recovery of claims.

4. Implements and measures statistical information on the risk financing status in subsidiaries showing trends against actual and prepares reports showing deviation and reason thereon. This is will assist in the optimal determination between retained and transferred risk

5. Maintains and updates daily the insurance and risk finance information system by updating data daily to enable accurate and timeouts reporting on claims, status of self insured finance and insurance policies

6. Assists in workshops, training courses and Risk Assessment exercises in the group. This is done to ensure consistency of application across the department and Group

7. Examines documents of claimable amounts pertaining to Insurance submitted by various departments

8. Open files for each claim submitted and assists in following ip with insurance companies for necessary recovery. Also maintains claim register and proper records of each claim file.
