Job Title: SharePoint Administrator

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

Gather and document end-user electronic content management configuration and business process automation requirements and priorities using Sharepoint solutions

Ensure integrity of and regulatory compliance for SharePoint data in accordance with business needs and industry best practices

Analyze user configuration requirements and resolve conflicts

Define proposed configuration in a deliverable document

Gather and document business process automation (workflow) requirements

Gain client acceptance/approval of proposed configurations

Assist with the training of client staff to assume duties such as operating, administering and supporting solutions

Ensure that policies and procedures, regarding document control and document confidentiality, are adhered to by system users

Ensures that client's issues are escalated to appropriate staff

Develops end-user training manuals

Provides input to the Management regarding functional, system and user acceptance testing

Support end-users during their training, acceptance testing and use of systems

Provide input to any required system extensions or integration plans

Create any deliverable documents required by the client

Provide timely, concise, and informative project status reports

Identify and originate project change requests as needed

Coordinate client meetings and perform demonstrations and training as needed or required

Look at open tickets and resolve based on criticality first

Check overall functionality for each server in the installation by simply looking at the Application, System, and Administrative event logs.

Follow-up any Event Log events by using the ULS logs and matching time, date, etc

Check the Forefront Metaverse Manager for daily profile synchronization errors & the daily search jobs Check or verify database and log file backup, timer job failures if necessary & warm-up script functionality log on to all applicable SharePoint servers (Web Front End, Application, and Database) to ensure they are running properly. This includes any Development or Staging environments as well. Although checking the overall server health and functionality might seem redundant or elementary, this procedure is critical to keeping the system environment and users working productively

Check the IIS functionality on the Web Servers, ensuring that the Web Apps and the Web sites are started

Qualifications and Requirements

University degree in Computer/information science or its equivalent

Experience using Microsoft SharePoint software 2010

Ability to effectively use software applications on a personal computer

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability and willingness to be courteous, tactful, and diplomatic working with clients and staff

Solid understanding of SharePoint 2013 architecture and ability to leverage its many services and service applications (user profiles, managed metadata, Project server, excel services, secure store etc.)

Experience with advanced SharePoint Search features: content sources, crawl rules, crawler impact rules

Experience deploying SharePoint to Azure and knowledge of cloud technology

Configuration of Workflow Manager and a working knowledge and general understanding of SharePoint 2013 Workflows (knowledge of K2 or Nintex preferred but not required)

Setup and Configuration of Claims Based Authentication, FBA, NTLM etc

Configuration of Windows server 2008/2012 and its many server roles related to SharePoint

Configuration of IIS and knowledge of host headers, SSL, web applications, web services and application pools.

Ability and willingness to establish and maintain effective relationships

Ability to effectively perform tasks in spite of interruptions

Ability to understand and willingness to follow oral and/or written instructions

Ability and willingness to observe company and client policies and procedures; includes adhering to established leave and attendance policies, when applicable, and health and safety rules and regulations and standards
