FTG Circuits is a manufacturer of high technology, high reliability printed circuit boards. Our customers are leaders in the aviation, defense, and high technology industries. FTG Circuits has operations in Toronto, Ontario, Chatsworth, California and a joint venture in Tianjin, China.
FTG Aerospace manufactures illuminated cockpit panels, keyboards and sub-assemblies for original equipment manufacturers of aerospace and defense equipment. FTG Aerospace has operations in Toronto, Ontario, Chatsworth, California and Tianjin, China.
Reporting to the Quotations Manager, the Estimator is responsible for verifying the manufacturability of potential sales orders and establishing accurate cost estimates based on established cost matrices.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in matching customer specifications with the company's manufacturing capabilities.
Analyze drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials and labour estimates.
Provide timely response to customer's request for quote (RFQ).
Develop and maintain high level of communication with customer regarding status of RFQ.
Consult with Engineering, Customer Service and other personnel to discuss and resolve issues.
Highlight incoming product for New Product Introduction.
Perform special projects to analyze projected versus actual costs, historical product yields, manufacturing practices, etc.
Qualifications:
2-3 years' experience as a Cost Estimator or Quotations Analyst preferably within the Aerospace industry
Post-secondary education in engineering or industry related subject
Must be eligible to work with ITAR/CGP restricted data
Excellent communication, organization and time management skills are essential
