Job Description

The Paid Search (PPC) Analyst plays an integral role in execution of the paid search channel in outlining effective strategy and techniques for account, as well as implementing the paid search discipline, in addition to presenting recommendations and strategy to client. The PPC Analyst will report into the Account Supervisor. This role requires a strong understanding of paid search, as well as of all aspects of performance marketing, to effectively drive day-to-day tactical execution of the service and meet client expectations. The Analyst will collaborate with Account Supervisor and channel team to ensure all analytics and reporting is clear and communicated efficiently to client.

Main Responsibilities:

Plan, manage, and execute paid search/Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, including but not limited to account setup, strategy development, organization, and management

Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, comScore, and Compete

Manage day to day communication with client when needed, for all things paid search focused, including best practices, presentation decks and assisting with strategy plans

Coach and collaborate with PPC Coordinators to execute strategy

Monitor PPC trends, best practices and techniques to ensure correct account spend/growth, identify new opportunities

Proactively research campaign issues and formulate actionable solutions based off findings

Main Competencies:

Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities and to research PPC issues and formulate tangible solutions

Successfully fulfil the client's strategy by creating clear deliverables and recommendations

Mastered understanding of reported metrics and what they mean

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results

Requirements:

4+ years experience on a similar position

Proven PPC skills, optimization techniques, and bid management

Experience creating, managing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns

Experience managing large budget Adwords accounts

Experience providing CRO audits and strategy documents

Website Analytics knowledge: completing audits, implementing goal tracking, providing monthly insights and training to clients

Familiarity with Yahoo! Search marketing and Facebook ad platforms 

Experience creating and managing Adwords scripts

A working understanding of Display Media, SEO, Affiliates, Feeds, Mobile, Social and Attribution

Experience with bid management tools, including the knowledge of their different types of search engine marketing tactics

Experience with Paid Search Platforms like Marin, Kenshoo, DS3, Certification a plus

Google Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and Adwords Certification

Google Advanced Search and Advertising Fundamentals certifications

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) knowledge: technical recommendations, keyword research, link building and content strategy (a plus)

Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript

Advanced computer skills, proven experience in Excel and PowerPoint

Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

Bachelor's degree required
