1. State Cabinet is meeting under the chairmanship of Chief

Minister, Mehbooba Mufti at Civil Secretariat today at 3.30

pm to discuss some important administrative agenda. This will

be last meeting of State Cabinet at Jammu ahead of annual

Darbar move to Srinagar.

2. India and Pakistan Tuesday indulged in some plain

speaking on bilateral issues with the neighbouring country

being firmly asked not to be in denial over the impact of

terrorism on bilateral ties while Pakistan harped on Kashmir

terming it as the core issue.

3. Army has launched a massive operation in North Kashmir’s

Kupwara forests after reports of infiltration of a militant

group in the area from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

4. Acting tough on the tour of bureaucrats outside Jammu

and Kashmir, the State Government has directed all

Administrative Secretaries to submit detailed tour reports on

their return to the headquarters after visiting outside to the

Chief Secretary and the Principal Secretary to the Chief

Minister.

5. After China formed `Theatre Command’ a couple of

months back by re-structuring military commands and giving

joint control to one Chief Military Commander, Indian Army

has also been asked to study the Chinese plan for long term

integration of three Services-Army, Indian Air Force and

Navy-to have joint commands.

6. The Government has asked State Vigilance Organization to

conduct high level enquiry into alleged malfunctioning and

mismanagement of public money during two consecutive terms

of Dinesh Gupta as Chairman of Citizen’s Cooperative Bank

Ltd, Jammu.

7. The State High Court has reserved its orders in a PIL

seeking judicial probe in the recent killings in Handwara

after alleged molestation incident.

8. The Union Finance Ministry has constituted high level five

members Sub Committee on the issue of imposition of Central

Excise Duty on jewelers.

9. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has sought the support of

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in skill development

of the youth.

10. Describing connectivity as a prerequisite for bolstering

economic growth, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has called

for more effective coordination between different agencies so

that work on various road projects in the state is carried

forward with greater urgency.

11. An audit of vehicles hired by police for ferrying its

constabulary during the 2014 Lok Sabha and Assembly

elections in Jammu and Kashmir has found alleged

irregularities of Rs 6.09 crore due to double drawals and

hiring of fictitious vehicles.
