THE GET DOWN

The long-awaited Netflix series The Get Down has made it’s debut this weekend. The series follows a group of teenagers from the South Bronx, trying to escape from their impoverished lives and pursue a lifestyle of producing a new form of music. The series features several rising stars such as Shameik Moore, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Justice Smith, Skylan Brooks and an appearance by Jaden Smith.

HOW TO TELL YOU’RE A DOUCHEBAG

A womanizing blogger in New York questions his treatment of women in this romantic comedy and soon falls in love with one of his interviewees. How to Tell You’re a Douchebag, is an independent film that was featured in the Sundance Film Festival and is Tahir Jetter’s feature debut. The film is now available for purchase on iTunes, and will be available on Amazon and Google. #NSFW

K.C. UNDERCOVER

This episode of K.C. Undercover has a special 70s theme when K.C. is schooled by Grandmother Gayle on how Cleo Brown became the first Black female spy in The Organization. “The Legend of Bad, Bad Cleo Brown” stars Zendaya as Cleo Brown and is written by Raynelle Swilling and Teri Schaffer, and directed by Nzingha Stewart.
