Cowls are cool! Or warm. Right, cowls are warm. And over the past few years, cowls have become…hot. Yup, they are hot! So I have collected some crochet and knit cowl patterns to share with you. There are 2 round ups here, the first is crochet, and the second is knit, both are: COWLS!!

It’s quite possible this is my new favorite cowl pattern. Not to mention, this yarn is quite soft and the colour just screamed sheer joy at me.

I have knitted a lot of accordion cowls recently so I knew how to knit them up without a pattern and made a start. However, partway into it, I had an idea. I would ‘decorate’ the cowl with some icord.
2) Moonstruck Cowl ~ designed by Jessie At Home
This linen stitch cowl has a small amount of shaping around the bottom half to form to your shoulders and keep you nice and warm!
3) Clara Cowl ~ designed by Gretchen Ronnevik
The cowl is completely reversible, completely seamless, and completely luxurious. It’s worked completely in 1 x 1 rib and is grafted together using the tutorial at the end.
4) Chunky Cowl With Bow ~ designed by Posh Pooch Designs
The cowl and the bow are both stitched in just the Garter Stitch, so this is a great beginner project, to practice your knit stitch and make something fun to wear.
5) Steel Grey Chunky Circular Scarf ~ designed by Hand Knitted Things
This simple chunky circular scarf is knitted in the round on a circular needle using knit and purl stitches and 5 strands of dk yarn held together. Worn in a wraparound ‘figure of eight’ style.
