Howdy! I hope your weekend is going great so far!
Thought I'd just post some random stuff from the past week or so. :)
It's been gorgeous here in Vegas, so we are really loving it! Today it hit 75*, and was just beautiful! It's supposed to be like this next week too, so I'm really looking forward to it!
As I've mentioned before on here, every year around this time, I always look forward to getting a Shamrock shake at McDonald's. So today I went and got one. Funny how something so small can totally make my day! :)
I had a dentist appt. a few days ago. We love our dentist and have been going to him for many years. He and his staff are super sweet and very funny, and I'm not kidding when I say going to the dentist is actually fun! How ridiculous does that sound?!! Ha ha haaaaaa!! Plus, nobody believes us when we tell them that when he gives shots, there's NO PAIN! He has a way of giving shots and it doesn't hurt at all. A few years ago he gave Jeven a shot, and she didn't even know he gave her one, until after her appt. when we told her! We still laugh hard about that one!
Jeven and I had hair appts. this week too. Both got trims and color. Always feel good to get that done.
Jeven went to a slumber party at her cheer gym last night. The teams that got first place at the last competition, and one other team, got to all spend the night there last night. They had a BLAST! There is a big gym right next door to the cheer gym too. It's a gym where some of the Cirque du Soleil acrobats go to practice sometimes, so there's very cool equiptment and things in there I guess. Well, Jeven's cheer place rented it out last night for two hours so they could go there and have some fun. Jeven said it was awesome! Then they went back to their own gym and had a bunch of snacks, watched a movie, ran around, and had a ton of fun until the early morning hours! She then went out to breakfast with two of her good friends this morning after they left the gym, then she came back home around 10 and went right to bed and slept for hours! What a great time she had with her cheer buddies! :)
Speaking of cheer, tomorrow Jeven has another cheer competition here in Vegas. I've already got my yellow, black and white outfit picked out! I found a cute yellow sweater on clearance at Charlotte Russe last week--SCORE, so I'm going to wear that. Plus it's the Hawaiian theme, so I am going to wear a lei and maybe a yellow flower in my hair. I thought that would be fun!
I tried a new recipe this week for Chicken Lettuce Wraps. They turned out SO GOOD! Steve was flying when I made them, so just Jeven and I had them. We both thought they were delicious! YUMMMM!
