Hello and HAPPY FRIDAY TO YOU!
It's chilly and rainy here in Vegas. I don't mind the rain though, since it so rarely ever rains here. This morning I posted this on Facebook:
So true, so true!
What's a little rain, right?! Well, some people are not happy about the rain, because NASCAR is in town this weekend, and of course rain is not good for that. The weather forecast says after today, it's supposed to stop raining and get nicer. I hope for their sake it does!
Speaking of NASCAR, Steve and I went out last night. We had had a date night planned for a while. We went to Carrot Top a few years ago and LOVED his show. SUPER, SUPER funny!! We weren't sure if it would be the same material or not, but we decided we'd go back last night. And boy were we glad we did. It was great the second time too! This time he had new material as well. So we loved both shows! But back to NASCAR....as we were sitting in the audience at Carrot Top waiting for the show to start, Jeff Gordon came in with some other people (one person was his father), and there was another race car driver too, but we didn't know who that was). He sat just a few rows in front of us. I thought that was cool!
So we had a fun night out.
Guess I need to rewind a bit too on here. I had mentioned in my last post that Jeven had another cheer competition here in Vegas last Sunday. That one was just a one day competition this time, and not near as big as some of the other ones.
Well, every single team at VCA (which is where Jeven goes--Vegas Cheer Authority) and there are 12 teams I believe, ALL TOOK FIRST PLACE! So it was a clean sweep by VCA! GO yellow and black! It was an ALOHA competition, so I brought a bunch of leis for some of us in the crowd to wear. :)
We were so proud of Jeven once again, and the rest of her teammates! This has been quite an amazing, wonderful season to say the least!

I told them this picture from another competition a few weeks back looks like an engagement picture! We had a good chuckle over that!

Before I close, on a totally different note, I just HAVE to share with you a picture I ran across the other night when I was going through some old things. If you know we well, you know I used to LOVE the Brady Bunch! In fact some of my friends still call me Marcia! Ha ha haaaaaa! Well, I was fortunate enough to meet Alice about 20 or so years ago. It was at a book signing, and she was as sweet and nice as could be!
Well, on that note, suppose I will close for now and get busy around the house. My To-Do list never seems to end! :)
