Your Jr. Chef can make Baked Pasta with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage
Broccoli rabe (also called raab or rapini) is cooked in the same large pot of well-salted water with your choice of chunky pasta shapes. Fresh/cooked sausage (sweet or spicy pork or chicken, casing removed) is optional; can substitute with lightly sautéed chunky brown mushrooms. Good step-by-step lesson on how to make béchamel sauce (milk, butter, flour, s&p, garlic, fresh nutmeg). Mixed ingredients (cooked sausage, béchamel, pasta, rapini, mozzarella, grated parmesan or pecorino) sprinkled with grated cheese are baked in a large pan 20-30 min until edges and craggy points are nicely bronzed. Pretty nice – dinner in a serving scoop. Parental supervision.

Ina’s Crispy Mustard-Roasted Chicken
In a food processor, make garlic/thyme/lemon zest/panko coating. Dip chicken pieces (with or without skin) into mustard/white wine mixture, then skin side only in crumb mixture.
