Your Jr. Chef can make Baked Chicken Fingers

Good easy practice slicing boneless skinless breast meat (really sharp knife, please). Good easy practice with 2-step cracker coating (egg dip then crushed cracker crumbs that you crush). Bake for 15 min at 450˚. Optional – serve with dipping sauces (i.e. ranch, bbq). Leftovers good cold and can be frozen. Parental supervision.

Video gives good tips about breading with 1 hand then the other, why to use cracker crumbs, kind of dishes to use for breading, what the eggs are for, why the wire rack is put on a baking sheet, why there should be enough room between the chicken pieces for air to circulate: http://www.chow.com/videos/show/the-easiest-way/128605/how-to-make-easy-baked-chicken-fingers.
