Josh Suchon first had his heart broken when he was 15 years old – by Hall-of-Fame pitcher Orel Hershiser and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The year was 1988, and the Dodgers had just defeated the heavily favored Oakland Athletics in the World Series. 25 years later – after earning a journalism degree from San Diego State University and covering Major League Baseball as a broadcaster – Josh is the author of “Miracle Men,” which chronicles the Dodgers’ 1988 World Series season. Fittingly, Hershiser wrote the book’s foreword. Josh is now the play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers’ Triple-A minor league team.

West Valley Girls Softball (WVGS) 10U are going to Nationals in Peoria, Arizona

They are an ASA-affiliated “B” recreational fast pitch softball league. It’s a non-profit organization operated solely by volunteers. These 10-11 year old girls have worked very hard this summer, playing in many tournaments. They are only the 2nd team in the League’s 45-year history to make it to Nationals!
