Keep your pets cool – heatstroke is deadly
Death occurs within minutes when a pet’s core temp reaches 110˚F, and that inner temperature can increase rapidly. Keep your pet cool (read ‘inside’ preferably in air conditioning). If you suspect heatstroke, use wet towels to the back of the head and place cold packs wrapped in towels (or plain wet towels) between the back legs and on the belly, and immediately take the pet to the vet.
