Story

Shiraishi Urara and Yamada Ryu are kissing in the backyard of Suzaku High School as sunshine streams through the trees. However, this scene is anything but pure and romantic. It is connected to an incident … … Although Yamada was a delinquent in junior high school, he dreamed of a happy school life and qualified for the prestigious private Suzaku High School after studying very hard. But he is a complete misfit in a school where the students are all chilly. Thoroughly dejected, he does not study and his grades plummet. His move up to the next grade is also on the line. One day, Yamada is mocked by his teacher and students around him. In irritation, he climbs the stairs and catches sight of Urara, the school’s best student. While trying to overtake her, he causes her to lose her footing. He throws his arms around her, but they get entangled as they tumble down the stairs and are knocked unconscious. Yamada wakes up in the sickbay and heads to the toilet where he gets shocked by the reflection he sees in the mirror. It is not himself but Urara that looks back at him. On the other hand, Urara is attending a lesson as if nothing had happened. However, Yamada bursts into the classroom, grabs her by the wrist and drags her out. They remain in their host bodies for the moment until school is dismissed, but Yamada soon learns through various events that Urara’s school life is surprisingly harsh. At that time, the president of the school council Yamazaki Haruma requests a report on some matter relating to Urara from vice president Miyamura Toranosuke. However, he does not get a positive response. Miyamura, who has noticed that Urara and Yamada have been behaving weirdly, sets a trap … …

Characters
Yamamoto Yusuke as Yamada Ryu

A second-year high school student not suited to Suzuka High School. He was a delinquent during junior high school. However, he had misgivings about being immersed in fights and being unpopular. Dreaming of a happy school life, he tries to put delinquency behind him and studies hard. He qualifies for a private high school but the students are all chilly. This is not how it thought it would be, and he finds it dull. He saves his good friend from junior high school days Igarashi Ushio, who has the same sentiments, but is also let down by him and ends up terribly dejected. He does not study and his grades plummet. His move up to the next grade is also on the line. In the midst of this, he switches bodies with Shiraishi Urara and learns of the existence of witches. Although he is initially in contact with Urara because of his promotion to the next grade, his hot delinquent temperament is reawakened and he starts searching for the witches. Through his contact with the witches, he learns about their girlish feelings and being female. Because he is a fool, he does not read into people’s words and stop to work things out. He does not understand females and is also unable to read situations. He says whatever he thinks. However, that is on the mark and gets to the heart of the matter so he unnerves the people around him. He is good at fights and his signature move is a turning kick.

Nishiuchi Mariya as Shiraishi Urara

A second-year high school student. The school’s top student. She is impassive and a person of few words, the type who hardly expresses her own feelings. Because of that, there is a vast difference when she switches bodies with Yamada Ryu and makes a big impression on the people around her with casual smiles and brief comments. That said, she is not gentle. Even though she is extremely strong-willed and rational, she suppresses these feelings because it is the easier way to live. Her interest in Yamada’s every move seems like that of a alien, and she just cannot let it go. She feels liberated when she switches bodies with him. She studies a lot because there is nothing else in particular to do.

Triendl Reina as Ito Miyabi

A second-year high school student. Although she is seemingly cute, her extremely bothersome personality and outpouring of feelings for supernatural phenomenon makes people ostracise her. However, she is enthusiastic about her interests and is a geek who will lavish attention. She accepts that she is this sort of character and does not create one of respectability because she is the type who is true to herself. The Supernatural Phenomenon Studies Club is a place she is able to fit in for the first time. She gets carried away searching for witches because of Yamada Ryu and Shiraishi Urara.

Ono Ito as Odagiri Nene

A second-year high school student. The vice president of the student council, she is a candidate to be the next president. She is ambitious and has great pride. As a result, her sense of worth and happiness are determined by society.

Miyama Karen as Otsuka Meiko

A bespectacled second-year high school student who is shy and timid. She cannot express her own feelings and has a complex about her inability to communicate well. She cannot talk when she is looking people in the eye.

Kojima Fujiko as Sarushima Maria

A second-year high school student. A cheerful and vivacious girl who lived abroad and has returned to Japan. She has a lot of physical contact and many boyfriends. She wishes for an ordinary love and is surprisingly girlish.

Matsui Airi as Takigawa Noa

A first-year high school student who used to be quite a popular child actress in the past. As she grew up, work ran out and she lost popularity. She has now retired. She does not trust people because of the change in her environment. Even though she has returned to being an ordinary student, she cannot ditch the pride about that period and gets on the wrong side of the people around her. She feels uneasy about being alone. She cultivates followers through her own ability and hangs around with them.

Kobayashi Ryoko as Asuka Mikoto

A third-year high school student. The secretary to the president of the student council. She is always composed and shrewd. She is the only one among the six witches who has no interest in Yamada Ryu and likes Yamazaki Haruma, the president of the student council. Because she is exceedingly beautiful, she has always been agonised by the curious looks of males. She seems to have had the ability to become invisible. She has now entrusted her witch power to Yamazaki and has none on hand.

Ide Takuya as Miyamura Toranosuke

A second-year high school student. The vice president of the student council, he is a candidate to be the next president. Because he is the exact opposite of Yamada Ryu, he gets laughs by reading situations and is not disliked by males or females. Even though he says things that border on sexual harassment, he is the type who is let off easily. Because he thinks that fights and disputes are too much of a pain, he avoids them as much as possible. He sees everything objectively so there is some part of him that is cold. However, he comes in contact with Yamada and amuses himself as if watching a rare beast. He actually has an older sister Leona who has shut herself at home.

Mamiya Shotaro as Igarashi Ushio

A second-year high school student. Yamada Ryu’s friend since junior high school days. However, he meets Yamada again at Suzuka High School. An incident alienates him and Yamada. He is always with Odagiri Nene now as her leading follower. Although he is under the control of Nene’s power, he embraces it as he comes to terms with it.
