Summary Description: Drives a school bus over a designated route, according to an established time schedule, and transports students on special educational, athletic and/or recreational trips; gives students the safety rules on riding a bus; gives daily inspections of bus as per policy; keeps trip records and makes simple reports; participates in training programs; assists in identifying mechanical defects and reports said defects; controls students on bus and operates bus within state laws and District Guidelines; maintains the appearance of the bus.Qualifications: Experience in operation of school bus. Posses valid California Class I, II, or III License. Must possess School Bus Drivers Certification issued by Highway Patrol and Community First Aid card. Negative drug test and valid medical card. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to drive bus safely and effectively.
