Position Summary:Acting as an advocatefor Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Field Service Engineer (FSE) will; execute installations, provide product/technical training to customers, perform scheduled maintenance, and develop troubleshooting skills in industrial locations both indoors and outdoors. The FSE will work with Air Quality Instrumentation and Process Monitoring equipment including Mercury Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs), criteria pollutant monitoring instrumentation, nuclear gauges, and mass spectrometers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:

* Installing, trouble shooting, and maintaining Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs) of all makes and models measuring criteria pollutants, as well as flow and opacity.
* Or Experience with Nuclear Gauges measuring density and flow in pipes and vessels.
* Or Experience with Field Service in refineries, power plants, and paper mills.
* Or Experience with Process Mass Spectrometers
* Radiation Safety Officer Training
* Current TWIC Card
* Data Acquisition Experience/Ladder Logic
* Associates degree in science, electronics or engineering in conjunction with 2 years of Related Experience preferred OR 4 years of Related Experience
Key Responsibilities:

* Must be flexible with travel schedule including nights and weekends.
* Installing, trouble shooting, and maintaining Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMs) of all makes and models measuring criteria pollutants, as well as flow and opacity.
* Coordinate work schedule with the customer and Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Service coordinator
* Must be capable of independent work
* Provide feedback and documentation of work performed and expenses in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

* Strong customer service skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
* Demonstrated experience with time management
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

* Ability for overnight travel Monday through Friday, and availability to work weekends as needed. Up to 80 % travel
* Must be capable of critical thinking and problem solving
* Must be capable of reading drawings/schematics
* Must be physically able to climb ladders/stairs or ride industrial style elevators to heights of 300 feet
* Regularly lift or move 25 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs and occasional lift 100+ pounds.
