The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for the development and promotion of new and existing products, including competitive benchmarking, market analysis, and selling tools. The Marketing Coordinator provides internal support for the business unit sales representatives and managers and performs a broad range of tasks, including the coordination of special projects, and acting as liaison with other Higher Education functional teams. The position works closely with Marketing managers and directly interfaces with customers to drive sales of new and existing products.

**Essential Accountability**

* Works with Editorial, Field Personnel, and End Users (Instructors and students) to design, develop and implement research studies that drive effective marketing strategies and marketing plans. Develop communication and promotion plans that result from studies and drive sales.
* Executes marketing campaigns to professors, including drafting messages, monitoring accuracy, and measuring results of campaign.
* Responsible for daily research and documentation of competitive pricing on priority products to facilitate list pricing increase decisions. Manage pricing execution, ensuring accurate pricing in all relevant systems in instances where there is no Marketing Assistant assigned to a team.
* Identifies key customer targets for webinars (on-line product walkthroughs) to drive sales or activation of digital products. Fields questions and demonstrates functionality of key digital products to adopting faculty and customer targets. Tracks and follows up with faculty and/or targets, as required. Analyses and reports on customer reaction and engagement to digital product webinars.

Sales Support Responsibilities

* Interfaces with sales organization with a focus on problem solving. Acts as first point of contact for sales rep queries and requests related to key products, disciplines and services.
* Creates and maintains effective, comprehensive, and timely product information and sales tools for all key titles.
* Coordinate the activities of DFCs. This includes facilitating WebEx sessions with customers and coordinating the DFCs travel. Coordinates digital faculty consultant training and orientation.

Administrative Responsibilities

* Maintains and manages intranet sites or promotional pages as required, including population and uploading of key templates and documents.
* Completes and processes various forms and requests as needed.

Miscellaneous

* Negotiates as required with outside vendors for preferred pricing on travel and entertainment planning, printing and/or materials, freelancers, etc. Makes recommendations as to ways to cut costs on projects. Ensures timely delivery of any vendor work, and timely payment of vendors.
* Attends discipline conventions as required, staffing booth space and supporting planned focus groups and/or reviewer conferences.
* Plans and implements requirements for Sales Meetings and discipline conventions, including materials and logistics, and collaborates with Convention Services as required.
* Completes special marketing projects, that may involve researching information and calculating figures in creating complex reports.
Required Experience

* Bachelor’s degree required
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
* Excellent organization skills, including acute attention to detail and deadlines and the ability to multitask.
* Previous marketing experience preferred, including the presentation of information to external audiences
* Social media skills and expertise.
* Strong proficiency with MS Office, MS Windows, technology and the web.
* A proactive, team player with positive attitude
* Ability to travel occasionally required
