POSITION: Utility LocatorREQUIREMENTS: Must have and maintain a Valid Class A Driver s License..and.#61623; Valid DOT Health Card. Minimum 1-2 years related experience.Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily, seldom over 50 pounds. Grasp andmanipulate various hand tools daily. Standing for more than two hours at atime, as well twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching,andstooping regularly. Identify/distinguish colors and use of manual dexterityand fine motor skills.Communicate orally as well as ability to hear and understWork and operate motorized equipment as well as safely perform procedureswhere carelessness would potentially result in injury. Work in an environmentthat is uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation orsimilar discomforts. Ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy,as well as use a keyboard to enter and transform words or data.WAGE: Comperable to others in this position. Accuracy - Accurately locate underground facilities including, telephonelines, electric power lines, cable television lines, gas lines, fiberoptic lines, water and sewer lines.6. Other Serves as backup to other positions at the direction ofmanagement; and other duties as assigned.Exposure to varying temperatures as work is primarily outside. Noise levelsare moderate to heavy. Work in different types of terrain including water,sand, and dirt. Varying degrees of light as work may beginning early morningand continue in the evenings. Travel from home overnight.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE: The Utility Locator is responsible fordetermining placement and marking the locations of existing undergroundutilities. The Utility Locator will be responsible for locating buriedtelephone, CATV, power, gas, or water lines.
