POSITION SUMMARY
BlueView is looking for an electrical engineer to support new board development projects and act as lead production engineer on all aspects related to electrical and communications systems. This person will help reduce scrap and improve first pass yield by implementing test processes both in-house and at board-houses. This person will support all customer and production issues specifically related to electrical systems.
As part of this work, this person will become familiar with the circuit architecture of BlueView sonars and will gain an understanding of the FPGA firmware development process currently used in the development and maintenance of BlueView sonars.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform various engineering tasks including analog, digital and power supply circuit and thermal design with minimal supervision.
* Produce standardized documentation.
* Develop circuit board and assembly test systems and procedures.
* Plan, prioritize and complete engineer investigations and design changes on existing products.
* Investigate and provide data-backed decisions on non-conforming components.
* Provide concise technical reports to support investigations and technical judgments.
* Provide troubleshooting and manufacturing support of electronic systems associated with underwater sonars.
* Support FPGA firmware modifications and developments.
* Perform all phases of the product development style from R&D; through prototype to sustaining engineering.

REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 5+ years of related experience including circuit board design and manufacturing support.
* Troubleshooting experience at the bench (failure analysis) and design experience at the desk.
* Must have strong analog electronics background.
* Manufacturing/production related engineering support experience a plus.
* Experience with LabView a plus.
* Experience with Ethernet a plus
* FPGA programming a plus.
* Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).
