ASRC Federal is seeking aVP of Information and Technology Solutions, Business Development to join our team. We are headquartered in Beltsville MD, a suburb of Washington DC and have significant operations in many states. The position location is negotiable - must be willing to travel frequently in pursuit of new business.

Key Role:

* Leads a team of senior business development staff responsible for developing and capturing business in the general IT and Data Analytics marketplace.
* Responsible for strategic evaluation of potential business opportunities and provide input for overall business strategy with a focus on the federal defense markets.
* Manage the pipeline and resources regarding pursuits in the federal government space.
* Collaborate and coordinate business development (BD) activities internally ensuring opportunities are prioritized and managed within the business area.
* Assist executive leadership team in setting strategic marketing programs to drive organizational growth and meet established goals.
* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers in relevant market segments and work with the ITS Operational and BD team to leverage all relationships across the targeted market space.
* Identify, manage and expand sales pipeline including target order goals that will be dispersed to all BD staff and monitored on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
* Based on analysis of customer research, develop strategy to establish new business, expand and grow existing business.
* Identify, cultivate, and establish teaming agreements with key strategic partners and develop strategic relationships for campaign pursuits, cultivating long term relationships with strategic partners.
* Critically evaluate overall operations, service delivery and win/ loss records and implement practices to improve efficiency and win record.
* Support capture management and proposal development staff to ensure delivery of the highest quality products and implement best business practices to ensure team evolves and remains competitive.
* Prepare department objectives and budgets and manage staff including hiring and termination decisions, performance evaluation, incentive programs and awards, coaching, mentoring and succession planning.
* Conduct monthly meetings with subsidiary presidents to insure that both operations and business development are on the same track.
Basic Requirements:

* 15 years related experience working in the Information and Technology government contracting environment, with emphasis on Civil (NASA, DOL, DOE), and DoD.
* 5 years’ experience in leading a team of five or more senior business developers
* 5 years’ experience in developing strategic plans
* 5 years’ experience in developing pipeline and budgeting
* Experience in executive level presentations during the capture process
· Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is preferred.
