Job Description
Under general supervision: may coordinate work
related activities with Site Management and Work
Control; works directly with tools of the trade testing,
terminating, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining
and repairing electrical wiring, systems and
components in accordance with all provisions of the
National Electrical Code (Tier II) or British Standard
7671 (Tier III) and with all applicable company and
client requirements; ensures that all work performed
is fully compliant with applicable sections of the
National Electric Code (Tier II) or British Standard
7671 (Tier III). Performs the duties of subordinate
positions as needed; performs other duties as may be
required. Typical job functions include testing, wiring,
terminating electrical connections, general installation

* f circuitry and components, troubleshooting, moving
materials and related activities as required. May
supervise, train and provide guidance to Helper-level
personnel and others. May perform inspections and
assist other Electrical personnel during inspections or

* ther assignments. The employee is directly
responsible for following safe work practices by
adhering to Fluor''s HSE Programs including Safety
Task Analysis (STA) and Lockout Tag-out (LOTO)
procedures, etc. The employee must be flexible and
able to evaluate and adjust priorities as needed to
meet LOGCAP IV electrical requirements. In addition,
it is preferred the employee have experience with
EXCEL and Maximo in that the employee may
temporarily relieve an Electrician Journeyman Lead as
necessary.
As directed by management, may supervise
employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance
with the “General Supervisory Duties and
responsibilities” addendum.
This Job Description represents a summary of the
generic job duties and qualifications for this position

Position may be located in a war zone in a
contingency environment with harsh and dangerous
working and living conditions, including lifting and
carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment
for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health,
and security measures within the contract are met, all
employees shall be literate in English (read, write,
speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely
austere. The most austere sleeping may be in
environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type”
cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or
further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15
pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals
are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining
facility” style environment. Living area will most likely
have constant hum of generators or similar equipment
nearby.

Basic Job Requirements
High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred. A
minimum of 42 months verifiable, directly related
work experience, typically as Electrician Helper /
Apprentice with 2 years performed under a
Journeyman or Master Electrician, is required.
Valid, current US State Journeyman or Master
license/certification (including testing of the 2008
NEC) as determined to be acceptable to Fluor. The
