QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate''s Degree is desired. Bilingual and excellent phlebotomy skills wanted. Either AAMA or AMT certification is required for this position. CPR certification needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Overall: Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Use AIDET in all communications with patients. Understands and consistently demonstrates principles of Patients First philosophy. Clinical Skills, Draw blood, administer injections, and perform EKGs as directed by a physician. Escort patients to exam rooms, have patients disrobe and gown appropriately and / or at physician''s discretion, take appropriate vital signs, setup pap trays, and do other appropriate procedures for the physician. Manage patient flow in the office keeping physicians timely and prioritize tasks accordingly. Assist patients with scheduling appointments or diagnostic testing. Assist the physician with management of outpatient evaluations, surgeries and follow up appointments with the MD. Maintain accurate and orderly patient care charts. Update patient flow sheets to be in compliance with Managed Care protocol. Assist physicians during treatment, examination and testing of patients. Restock all exam rooms with necessary supplies throughout the day. Call in or electronically send prescriptions as directed by a physician. Maintain a neat and sanitary work environment. Ensure that all drug cabinets are locked at the end of the day. Check drug cabinets monthly and discard any expired medications. Perform other clinical or administrative functions as directed by the MD. Manage telephone messages as directed by the MD. Attend all meetings held by NMG, the Practice Manager, or Site Supervisor. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Practice Manager. Other tasks as needed.
