This position candidate will be primarily responsible for programming and operating several CNC multi-axis machining centers while assisting in developing manufacturing processes for CVP components. The candidate will also be required to measure and operate precision measuring equipment in the quality lab.

Primary Duties include:
• Program and operate multi-axis CNC machines including but not limited to: horizontal mills, vertical mills, and multi spindle lathes.
• Work with engineering staff to evaluate and specify equipment, validate functionality and identify safe, efficient and effective best practices, and develop processes for prototype and pilot production.
• Manage preventive maintenance for machining centers and quality lab equipment.
• Maintain various test records, logs, time records.
• Interface with coworkers, supervisors, project engineers and program managers.
• Comply with all safety regulations and standards for working around potentially hazardous materials and operations of tests, support project activities relative to project demands.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in new product development and provide support for the manufacturing of new parts.
Qualifications Desired:
• Minimum of 5 years related experience or vocational training on operating and programming CNC multi-axis machining centers. High precision CNC machining and grinding experience (tolerances of +/-0.0002).
• Preferred experience with CAM programming (MasterCam/Esprit/NX CAM/WorkNC) and CNC machine tool setup and operation.
• Strong understanding of EIA programming languages or G-Code.
• Must be able to read Blueprints, and interpret and understand GD&T tolerancing.
• Computer skills preferred including CAD/CAM, and Microsoft Office products.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Must have strong math (algebra and trigonometry) skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others and work efficiently.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within Dana in a professional manner.
• Must be able to be flexible and work various shifts and overtime including weekends if required.
• Must be self-directed and motivated individual who is willing to accept responsibility.
