Translate customer needs, market trends, technology developments and competitor capabilities into a cohesive portfolio strategy.

The portfolio should consider, but is not limited to, products within our areas of strength including mono-, poly- and HuCAL antibodies, buffers, kits, conjugates and antigens. Flow cytometry, immunoassay and western blotting applications are of particular importance.

Deliver reasoned product development justifications and buy/build decisions in support of portfolio development. Interface with the New Product Development Team and Production Team to deliver products on the shelf that meet the required specification. React to and modify, if needed, product specifications during the development process.

Working with key internal and external stakeholders, audit the existing portfolio. Determine existing or new value, re-evaluate positioning, pricing and sun setting of unprofitable or obsolete products. All with a view to maximising our gross margins and driving revenue growth.

Launch products into the market through all available sales channels, including e-commerce routes. Define and execute go-to-market strategies, considering positioning, price, internal training needs, sales promotions and collateral materials. This will require working closely with stakeholders and departments across the company.

Manage the enhancement of products that are already in the market to extend their lives, increase their capability, margins and features. Effectively manage the products through their life from inception to end of life.

Become the VOC champion for the company; Develop KOL relationships and build a network of collaborators across all addressable market segments. Become the business partner for our Sales Teams and other customer touch-points.

Act as the primary content partner for LSG divisions to maximise our revenue opportunities through collaborative product development.

Required Skills

A self-starter, independent thinker as well as a team player

Strategic and tactical marketing experience

Organisational, numeracy and written skills

The ability to identify market opportunities, champion these opportunities, and produce business plans for internal review

A confident communicator with all levels of business, colleagues and customers

Project management experience and/or qualification is desirable

Degree in Immunology or related subject essential. Ph.D. in Immunology or related subject highly desirable

Required Experience

Minimum of 3 years product marketing within the life sciences reagents sector

Demonstrable track record of bringing successful products to market
