Job Summary
We’re seeking a Director of Public Relations to join our Innovation and Technology communications team. This person will help us inform our key stakeholders (media, analysts, partners, employees) about how Visa is working to duplicate the simplicity of the card swipe in digital channels, and make click, tap or wave to pay as simple and secure as traditional card payments. Additionally, this role will focus on communications related to the merchant community and the value Visa brings to small and mid-sized merchants in the US.

Responsibilities include:
* Create high-quality written materials, including but not limited to: news releases, blog posts, fact sheets, executive briefing materials, opinion pieces, and related collateral and social media extensions.
* Work directly with key business units on communications that support business initiatives or defend against reputation threats.
* Build strong internal relations with business partners and communication colleagues.
* Ability to deliver messages or create programs using creative methods.
* Have a passion for, and deep experience in, developing and executing media relations programs. This includes building and maintaining reporter relationships, identifying story ideas, pitching stories and managing through to point of coverage.
* Utilize social media channels to amplify campaigns and support core media relations activities..
* Work with partners to manage third-party initiatives or announcements.
* Assist with logistics and planning for Visa media events.

* BA/BS degree required.
* At least 10 years public relations experience, ideally with a mix of agency and internal positions.
* Creative, positive, collaborative and high-energy individual with an ability to execute.
* Exceptional writing and editing skills.
* Effective at problem solving.
* Excellent verbal communication, including interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Established media experience and contacts.
* Passionate about the technology industry and communicating Visa’s role within it.Corporate Communications Support
