**Field Sales - OEM Specialist -****Engineered Polymer Solutions**
The Field Sales – OEM Specialist (Original Equipment Manufacturer) will utilize product knowledge and sales expertise of the Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS) product line to provide direct sales coverage, service and technical support for a defined OEM sales territory, focused on the development and execution of sales strategies and goals by expanding market share of current accounts and penetrating new OEM relationships in target markets, with successful sales attainment. This position is virtual, located in the US.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Manage, influence, direct and support various business unit departments within a geographical, matrix organization to ensure a seamless, cohesive and well executed customer experience.
* Responsible for meeting sales goals and expense budget objectives.
* Utilize voice of customer (VOC) tools to assess customer dynamics, drivers, current and future needs/opportunities/fit for EPS manufacturing capability and product performance advantages.
* Assume role of “Key Account Manager” for global OEM’s within the territory. Ensure coordination between EPS marketing and other global Chesterton territories for new opportunities.
* As a consultative EPS seal expert, able to impart knowledge of seals, technical details, materials, designs and performance to provide EPS value proposition and product differentiation.
* Provide analytics on the competitive landscape in the EPS industry, and other disruptive technologies, competitor strategies, and positioning.
* Provide sales forecasts and reports in collaboration with EPS marketing; maintain documentation.
* Contribute to specific customer relations programs; represent Chesterton at industry conventions, annual meetings, and trade associations.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS:**
* Proven sales experience selling Engineered Polymer Solutions or similar engineered components.
* Proven business acumen and development skills working directly with key OEMs.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a high performance, cross functional team, with positive influence, focused on profitable EPS market share growth.
* Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, presentation, consultative selling and time/deadline management skills.
* Possess or able to develop strong technical knowledge of Chesterton EPS products, performance and capabilities.
* Skilled in sales lifecycle with key client decision makers.
** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:**
* BS in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent demonstrated technical acumen.
* Minimum 5 years in industrial sales of technical products, preferably into OEM markets.
**OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:**
* Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM contact tools.
* Ability to travel extensively in North America; possible occasional international travel.
* Must hold a valid driver’s license and passport.
* May be required on occasion to take and successfully complete customer-directed drug and /or alcohol testing.
