As a Project Manager you will manage, analyze, strategize, create, improve and implement new operational processes across various functional areas of Humana and CA market. Evaluate the effects of process changes by quantitatively and qualitatively measuring them against internal and external benchmarks. In addition, oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities including project design, scope management, cost control, and both quality and performance reporting.

* Work in collaboration with business partners to strategize, identify opportunities of operational processes, develop, implement and manage process improvement initiatives that eventually lead CA market for growth

* Serves as a leader to clients (internal/external) by strategizing, managing implementing new processes, enhancements and improvements

* Manage and deliver reporting and analysis on profitability and performance of operational processes which are key for our growth and building partnership with our IPAs (analysis of trend issues, cost savings, opportunities and effects of process changes by quantitatively and qualitatively measuring them against internal and external benchmarks)

* Make recommendations to market leadership through detailed analysis/consideration of financial and operational implications to Humana and the IPAs

* Serve as a focal point for all cross functional areas to answer any questions related to all operational processes

* Will be responsible for internal communications as they relate to the new processes or functions and support the development of communications to external parties.

* Oversee the CA state wide operational processes setup and develop policies and procedures

* Clarify vision and scope of work commitments and deliverables, and define measurable success criteria to monitor progress towards goals

* Define gaps in Humana’s service processes relationship with providers and facilitate resolution

* Create task-level project plans to organize and drive results of cross-functional teams

* Hold associates accountable to accomplishing assigned tasks correctly and on time

* Act as a liaison between various areas to gain knowledge of current processes, requirements, procedures and barriers to project success (i.e. Service Fund, CAS system limitations, Network Contracts, member/Provider communication)

* Create and deploy a training curriculum for all cross function areas, educating them about process flow and procedures

* Intake, tracking and follow up progress of operational/functional issues/projects across all functional areas of Humana and CA market, including summary presentations for Sr. Leadership

* Understand CA market objectives & drive operational process methodology that will achieve all desired business outcomes

* Model business consultation capabilities to align required needs with executable business solutions

## Qualifications

**Role Essentials**

* Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Managment, business or related field or equivalent experience acceptable
* Prior experience managing projects
* Progressive business consulting and/or operational leadership experience
* Comphrehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Project & Visio
* Prior experience in CA Healthcare industry

**Role Desireables**

* PMP and/or Six Sigma certifaciton or Project Management Institiute certification preferred.

**Reporting Relationships**

You will report to a Market Director. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operations Officer.
