As a Director of Instruction you will be responsible for leading the instruction team of the companys virtual school and for setting the strategy for the continued growth and improvement of the instruction services in alignment with business goals and industry standards. Candidate will manage a team of virtual high school instructors and administrators in a dynamic complex, and fast growing virtual school business.JOB DESCRIPTION:Evaluate technology needs and work with Program Manager to propose improvements to aid teacher efficiency and teacher/student communication. Define technology proficiency requirements of instruction staff and coordinate with Manager of Instruction to ensure teachers have the required training to deliver instruction. Develop a staffing recruitment plan that ensures that there are highly qualified instructors available for all ALVS programs. Evaluate and improve current instruction models. Actively search out innovative ways to practically heighten the impact of instructors on student issues. Manage compliance of ALVS instruction in accordance with district contracts and state level agreements. Oversee online instructor compensation. Develop team performance metrics and chart a course for data driven improvement. Foster community within the instruction staff and completion of other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:~Masters Degree from an accredited university. ~5+ years experience working in online education ~5+ years managing large teams of instructors ~Ability to work in a growing, fast paced changing environment. ~Strong Problem solving skills. ~High degree of comfort with technology and interest in increasing knowledge of new technologies. ~Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. ~Excellent presentation skills. ~Familiarity with school business systems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :~MA Education with 10+ years experience in school administration or development is considered highly desirable.HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:Hours are Monday thru Friday with schedule to be discussed at interview.SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:All opportunities with a job ID number beginning with a WA posted in King County on Go2WorkSource.com guarantee at least the State of Washington minimum wage unless otherwise stated.
