The Discovery Consulting team is a segment of the Technology Solutions practice which provides law firms and corporate legal departments with solutions for managing the risks and costs of complex litigation efforts. Our professionals have been engaged to provide consulting services to some of the largest companies and law firms in the United States. We have experience in all phases of litigation, from forensic data collections to data processing, review and production management, and trial preparation. We also provide a full suite of discovery advisory services including discovery assessments, program management, point solutions, spend analysis and management, and ESI data mapping. From a broader view, the Technology Solutions practice is part of Navigant’s Disputes, Investigations & Economics (“DI&E;”) practice which assists corporations and their counsel in addressing the issues associated with complex disputes, forensic accounting matters, global investigations, compliance, and data management.

***Responsibilities:***
* Execute on projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data relevant to litigation or regulatory investigations. Specific functional tasks include:
Processing:
1. Advise client on data reduction strategies including deNISTing, file extension filtering, date culling, and search term filtering.
2. Review work performed by Navigant forensics and processing teams, including exception reports, to ensure that any culling or filtering was accurately performed.
3. Test search term syntax, recall, and precision.
Review:
1. Manage review workflow, including creation and tracking of review batches on Relativity and coordination of TIFF jobs with Navigant processing team.
2. Create customized reports for clients by running searches in Relativity.
3. Coordinate tasks with the Navigant Relativity team such as adding new users, changing security settings, and setting up review form layouts.
4. Advise clients regarding the efficient use of concept clustering, near duplicate identification, e-mail threading, and assisted review (predictive coding) within the Relativity tool.
Production:
1. Identify and track documents for production using both Relativity and off-line reports.
2. Coordinate creation of production files with Navigant processing team.
3. Quality review production files received from Navigant processing team, burn production onto media, and prepare for shipment to client.
4. Coordinate blowbacks with Navigant processing team and external vendors.
5. Create and format privilege logs in Microsoft Excel based on fields available in Relativity database.
* Generate consistent and thorough documentation to support processes executed throughout the project lifecycle. Specific tasks may include writing up interview notes and drafting emails, memorandum or reports that demonstrate specific processes followed.
* Mentor junior grade colleagues to assist with their growth and professional development within the organization.
* Supervise appropriate personnel including less experienced associates, client personnel, clerical support, and others as appropriate.
***Qualifications:***
* Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, CIS, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Mathematics
* 2-3 years of prior computer forensics or electronic discovery experience
* Advanced decision making and problem solving skills
* Team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
* Ability to interact confidently with senior management and lawyers/partners
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage time and tasks around intense deadlines for clients who work in a time-sensitive 24x7 industry
* Ability to travel, often with little notice
The following additional qualifications are preferred, but not required:
* Experience with eDiscovery tools, including Relativity, Clearwell, SharePoint, Concordance, and Summation
* Experience with analytics, litigation readiness, and predictive coding
* Project Management certification
* EnCase, CFCE or CISSP
