Job Duties and Responsibilities
ManTech is seeking a Senior Software Engineer whose primary responsibilities include integration of COTS tools, security services, ETL automation, and Hive/ Hadoop in a data mart / data warehouse environment. Candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of programming, server software operations, and data bases. Also may be required to create Web front-end user interfaces to new or existing databases. General Responsibilities:
~ Develop custom java functions for hive map/reduce to augment ETL and reporting capabilities
~ Extend COTs packages/services with custom code and scripts for user authentication and accreditation
~ Integrate security access solutions for users across multiple platforms (windows/linux)
~ Assist ETL development and testing teams on automation and process improvement
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, and five to seven years of related software development experience. Languages/product expertise:
· Bash
· Java
· Apache 2.2
· JBoss 5.1.0
· SQL
Desired experience:
· Hadoop
· Hive ql
· Python
· Tivoli workflow scheduler
· Informatica (PowerCenter/Developer/DT Studio)
· Hands on Linux administration
· SVN
Other Skills Required:
This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to work in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment.
Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
