The Scientist, Immunology will be a part of a drug discovery team focused on identification of novel targets and mechanisms underlying RA, IBD and Psoriasis. This role requires a deep understanding of the immune system, with a particular focus on mechanisms and pathways that regulate tolerance. Experience in in vitro and in vivo systems of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases is highly preferred. The Scientist is expected to work actively on the bench designing and executing experiments in support of various discovery immunology programs. The Scientist will be also expected to gain a significant understanding of the discovery strategy focused on RA, IBD and Psoriasis, and will work in close collaboration with colleagues within the Immunology therapeutic area to generate robust data packages to enable the discovery pipeline. Extensive familiarity with various cellular immunology assays and techniques including measures of T, B cell activation, innate cell activation, measuring of effector functions including cytokine production and intracellular signaling assays, phenotypic analysis using FACS etc. is absolutely required. The successful candidate is expected to be a critical member of the discovery team and will be responsible for formulating and executing innovative scientific approaches using state-of-the art technology. **Qualifications**

A PhD in Immunology with a minimum of 3 years of successful and productive post-graduate experience is required.

A deep understanding of the cellular immune components, and their role in autoimmune diseases and inflammation is required.

Demonstrated experience in independently designing and executing experiments focused on autoimmune diseases in context of T/B cell activation, effector function and/or regulation is highly preferred.

Experience with costimulatory and/or immuno-regulatory pathways is preferred.

Documented record of productivity as indicated by publications, presentations and/or patents is highly preferred.

Excellent communications skills are required as is a proven ability to work in a matrix collaborative environment is required.
