Position Description
Established in 2009, Boeings UK Rotorcraft Support is a division of Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) with reach back to Boeings Global Services & Support and Military Aircraft businesses in the U.S. Focused on providing increased capability to the United Kingdoms military rotorcraft fleet, UK Rotorcraft Support has employees in the UK, U.S., and Afghanistan supporting Royal Air Force Chinooks, British Army Air Corps Apache fleets and providing solutions for Urgent Operational Requirements (UOR) through its UOR Centre.
Company capabilities include: Design Authority and Design Engineering; Systems and Support Engineering; Supply Chain Management, Warehousing and Logistics; Through Life Customer Support including Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul; Modification Design and Embodiment Management including Urgent Operational Requirements.
We require an experienced Project Accountant to take responsibility for the following
Key responsibilities
Working closely with designated Project Managers as part of the cross-functional Project team you will provide:
Full cycle project accounting support for your assigned projects from proposal development, implementation & execution through to contract closure.
Develops and initiates analysis of Estimate At Completion (EACs), financial and resource forecasts, financial statements and associated risks working with key stakeholders.
Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and schedule performance measurement baselines and variance analyses through Earned Value Management (EVM).
Budgeting, monthly forecasting and variance analysis for assigned projects.
Prepares and supports the Long Range Business Plan (LRBP) cost inputs, related to the assigned projects to ensure the labor and material base reflects reality. Maintains and supports the quarterly base sweeps to support rate and factors forecast.
Develops strategic plans and business cases for the projects, by application of appropriate financial indices in support of project and functional management.
Skills and experience
Significant work experience of project accounting within complex longer term projects.
Educated to degree level desired, however, the opportunity will also be considered for individuals with highly relevant Project Accounting experience within a similar sector.
Knowledge of complex accounting systems and reporting applications, Oracle and COGNOS preferable.
Advanced data management and Excel skills- applied use of Excel to advanced level (macros, pivots, reporting, queries etc). For permanent vacancy a skills test will be completed.

Typical Education/Experience
Ideally you will be educated to Degree level or higher in finance or accountancy and hold a strong level of equivalent related work experience.
CIMA qualification is particularly welcome.
