As a Program Manager you will be responsible for driving the schedule, cost, and quality for your project. Being a highly motivated cross-functional team leader will be essential for success. You will lead new product development programs from concept through post-launch, following Tennant’s Product Development Process. The job involves frequent interaction with internal cross-functional team members, executive staff members, partners and suppliers, sales account teams and occasionally, end customers. The role will include management of the program scope, execution, validation, product introduction, and post product delivery support. You will have broad responsibilities in leading and managing team members from all disciplines. You must possess the ability to promote collaborative decision-making, provide direction and establish a sense of urgency within the project team. Must be able to objectively evaluate risks to program objectives and be comfortable making difficult program decisions, as well as have the ability to deal with ambiguity.
Primary Objectives:
* Plan and execute successful new product development programs using cross-functional teams.
* Create, document, and implement new product development processes where necessary.
Accountable for:
* Building and leading cross-functional product development teams using resources from all functional areas of the company.
* Coordinating and managing all project documentation required by the product development process including gate review materials and presentations.
* Developing comprehensive product development plans that align with product and departmental strategies and reflect and appropriate balance organizational capability/capacity, business/technical risk, and financial return.
* Executing programs to achieve cost, quality, ROI and timing metrics. This position is accountable for the overall success of the project.
* Communicating all aspects of program status and risks including identification and resolution/escalation of issues threatening program deliverables.
* Ensuring quality of execution of all aspects of product development programs

* Knowledge of complex mechanical, electrical, and software systems (strongly preferred).
* Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Required Experience
* Bachelor’s of Science degree in a technical field, Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred.
* 2+ years experience leading cross-functional project teams.
* 5+ years experience in product development environment. Experience with low volume, high complexity product preferred.
* Cross-functional leadership experience including engineering, product/program management, and/or procurement preferred.
* Advanced project training/certification in PMP, PMBOK, CMMI, preferred.
* Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, DFSS/DMEDI strongly preferred.
