##### About the Position

The IT Business Analyst is a critical, customer facing position where the intersection of business knowledge and technology occurs. The Business Analyst will participate in strategy/planning, needs analysis, and business risk assessment. The Business Analyst will lead process redesign efforts including evaluation of impact, return, and costs presented by work process improvement opportunities. This role will also engage and consult with internal and external teams on how to best support requirements through the effective use of technology.

##### Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the development of requirements specifications in accordance all SOPS/Policies while utilizing standard templates for both new capability development and support of production
* Elicits and documents requirements using techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis from internal and external end users of IT systems
* Assesses system deficiencies/defects, and recommends appropriate design changes while taking into consideration all of the environmental complexities
* Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs
* Assists with the design process through determining and analyzing the logical flow of data as it relates to applications
* Develops and manages individual test plan scenarios/test cycles to ensure appropriate remediation
* In conjunction with the IT Program Management Office:
* Determines IT project timeline and milestones for design, development, testing and user acceptance
* Organizes and prepares for Change Control Board Review meetings for their areas of responsibility
* Organizes and participates in preparation for all CCBR meetings
* Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently
* Works with customers and IT team to ensure scope and objectives are clearly articulated, and monitors to ensure they are met
* Responsible for project related communication of all deadlines/milestones Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules and increases visibility to projects through the lifecycle of the project
* Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas
* Understands and ensures compliance with regulatory, security, quality and privacy for all project/work related requests in order to adhere to related policies and regulations
* Monitors ticketing system for Customer Feedback and Requests to classify as defect, enhancement, missed requirement, scope change, or new product among other possibilities

##### Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, or related program
* 5+ years of experience with software development
* Highly adaptable, flexible, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working in a fast paced environment
* Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into IT specifications
* Detail oriented, highly accurate, and strong organizational and customer service skills
* Ability to clearly communicate highly technical information to both internal teams and customers
* Team and solution oriented
* Working knowledge and experience with PMBOK, and standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies
* Adept at Risk management
* Adept at Change Management
* Working knowledge of .NET, SQL, and web related services
* Ability to extract requirements from users with limited direction from supervisor
* Ability to interact with internal business and assist with the information to communicate with external customers.
* Experience in Life Sciences industry regulations preferred
