Title: Supply Chain Planner
Location: GA-Atlanta
Other Locations:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collects and analyzes world-wide historical sales data

· Collects and analyzes world-wide causal (external) data from sources such as Sales, marketing, Customer Support, Customers, Repair Centers, etc.

· Translates historical and causal data into a global forecast for the applicable OEM

· Produces a global forecast of planned purchases for assigned OEM’s each month and forwards to the OEM for inclusion in their production planning process

· Considers factors such as the following in developing the planned purchase order forecast:

· Stocking policies (e.g. turn goals, maximum inventory values)

· Sales strategies (e.g. fill rates).

· Program and product life cycles

· Market trends

· Stocking policies

· OEM operational requirements

· Establishes inventory positions for eachcompanylocation with monthly reviews and adjustments as needed

· Manages AOG stock requirements

· Manages Power-By-the-Hour (PBH) and other special types of inventory requirements.

· Maintains multiple communications channels to optimize product flow through thecompanysupply chain

· Conducts monthly S&OP meetings to identify supply chain risks, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities

· Works with our Sales, Marketing, Reliability, and Customer Support teams to open and maintain productive communication with our customers and improve customer service

· Works with Repair Centers to ensure stock is available to meet TAT goals

· Works with Planners in other regions as necessary to gain information and/or understand factors affecting forecast and/or inventory levels

· When requested, work directly with customers’ planning groups to optimize Supply Chain planning

· Defines and utilizes metrics that facilitate continuous improvements to planning processes and business results

· Monitors OEM inventory dedicated tocompanyand considers those inventory levels in the forecast process

· Monitors excess inventory (e.g. “Non Moving” and “Slow Moving”) atcompanylocations and communicated those details to Management, Sales, and the CFO for possible disposition

· Works with Technical Support to obtain information relative to part changes (e.g. new, superseded, or obsolete parts, etc.)

· Completes Ad Hoc analysis and reports as required by management

· Authors and coordinates for approval Operational Support Plans when required for stock level adjustments or other policy changes

· Authors and coordinates for approval various process related documents

Knowledge and skills

· 5 years ofAviationSupply Chain or Engineering experience.

· Aviation experience a must!

· A strong understanding of statistical forecasting methodology is preferred.

· Must have a strong technical aptitude.

· Must have knowledge of computers.

· Must have knowledge of general computer programs such as E-mail, word processing, and power point.

· Must have advanced level of knowledge in MS Excel.

· Knowledge/experience with Hyperion or SQL preferred.

· Knowledge/experience with a Planning software system such as MCA, Servigistics, Logility, etc. strongly preferred.

· Industry certification such as APICS, CPIM, CPM, or ISM is strongly preferred.

Education and/or experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain related field, Business Administration, Aerospace or Engineering preferred.

· 2 years material planning experience.

· Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated.

· Must have ability to work independently.

Communication Skills

· Must have the ability to generate written communication and must have strong oral communication abilities, including presentation skills.

· Must have the ability to read and understand written communication of a technical nature.

· Ability to speak French is a plus.

· Ability to independently travel both domestically and internationally.
