Job Description
The Application Lead is responsible for design, implementation, and support of relational database modules using SQL and PL/SQL to help fulfill our enterprise content management strategy. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who has led groups of developers in building and supporting PL/SQL applications. Key responsibilities include:
* Designing, implementing, unit, integration testing and supporting modules developed using SQL and PL/SQL in relational databases
* Perform support and maintenance tasks to address production issues reported by clients
* Lead review and analysis of business requirements
* Collaborate on architecture and technical design discussions
* Lead and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design/specifications
* Prepare and provide adequate (quality and quantity) documentation for work products
* Work with cross-functional teams to resolve business process issues and identify business process improvement opportunities
* Responsibility for resolving all issued assigned in a timely manner
* Ownership for development of application architecture and delivery of technical solutions that meet business requirements
* Ensure that all applications conform to system and programming standards and are appropriately documented
* Manage formal and informal project communication amongst team and with other project participants using methods appropriate to audience and type of communication
Job Requirements
* Bachelor or Master''s degree in Computer Science
* 8-10 years experience in SQL and PL/SQL and relational databases
* Design and develop software applications using Oracle database, including writing complex SQL queries, performance tuning, and coding using PL/SQL.
* Create and integrate multiple programs and objects to address business requirements and present and defend technical recommendations.
* Understanding of dimensional and relational modeled schemas
* Good software development and design fundamentals
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience working with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.
* Superior people skills; must be able to work in a team environment
* Strong problem solving skills
* Must perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
* .NET experience is a plus
