**Transportation Construction Engineer/ Department Manager**

We serve market sectors that include oil and gas, railway, electric utilities, telecommunications, and transportation. SAM-CS performs Construction Engineering, Administration and Management on large infrastructure projects.
**Position Summary**
Lead business development and management of transportation group for construction engineering and inspection projects in the San Antonio area, with potential of leading this initiative for the state of Texas, and/or regionally. Alternate delivery (design build and PPP), airport, light rail, rail and electrical transmission construction projects are included.
Project Manager for transportation projects where we provide:
Constructability reviews
Pre-construction conference management
Development of quality plan
Schedule development, review and analysis
Construction Inspection, Management and Administration
Quality Management for Design Build firms
Transportation Group Manager for San Antonio office
Business Development Manager
* Materials testing planning and coordination
* Construction observation and verification
* Traffic control compliance reviews
* Construction estimation payment review and recommendation
* Review, monitor and evaluate project documentation
* Recording of project conditions before and during construction
* Manage construction inspectors
* Business development
* Develop and maintain marketing plan
* Hire and manager staff
* Attend conferences
* Project Management
* Develop and Maintain client relationships.
* Write proposals and lead interviews
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction/ Engineering/ Management/ Inspection for Transportation projects
* Proven Business Development skills
* Bachelors of Science in Civil or Construction Engineering
* Must be licensed P.E. in state of Texas, or have the ability to get license
* Strong written and verbal communication experience
