Description: As an -Associate Product Manager- iCORDS-,- you will be part of a team driving product development efforts between EGI and a growing corporate associate ecosystem on the iCORDS- platform. iCORDS-- is a one of its kind big-data initiative in the geosciences industry which is being bootstrapped and grown organically at EGI since October 2012. Today, iCORDS is supported by over 15+ corporate partners in the Oil & Gas domain and has garnered attention in the industry as a premier big-data platform that new ventures and exploration geoscientific teams in the Oil & Gas industry must have in their tool kit.

In your role, you will support the development relationships and the on-going product collaboration efforts with a group of iCORDS subscriber companies. The primary goals will be to identify collaboration opportunities with partners, provide programmatic support, and facilitate the launch of products to both internal (EGI) audiences and external (subscriber) audiences. You will be backed by EGI scientists, technology and engineering staff to build capabilities and solutions into our products.

You will be a balance of geo-technical aptitude and business acumen with the ability to communicate with EGI scientists, developers, sales teams, and customers alike. Core to this role is painting the vision for integrated solutions using the iCORDS platform and expanding into other verticals.

Some of the things you-ll be doing include-
-Initiating and monitoring internal development projects to deliver compelling product capabilities
-Supporting the relationship with select partner technology, marketing, and sales organizations.
-Briefing targeted corporate partners on technical integration options.
-Identifying corporate/industry partners where joint or custom development projects would lead to significant value (revenue, leads, or market awareness) for both organizations
-Educating internal and partner organizations on the use of and benefits of iCORDS.

Duties: -Drive product strategy and gather requirements from cross-functional teams (Science and Technology teams); prioritize use cases based on business need/timing
-Author product stories, tasks and acceptance criteria for scrum teams; own the backlog
-Nurture and manage strategic technology partnerships to plan and roadmap the product development strategy
-Work with scientists, technical support teams and technology teams across EGI to make sure their needs are understood and considered as part of your product roadmap
-Collaborate with UX and development on product feature definition
-Track, analyze, and report on key metrics
-Recommend continual product improvements based on ongoing beta customer research, feedback, and performance as well as competitive analysis.
-Responsible for creating metrics which can be monitored for change and improvement in user engagement on an on-going basis
Qualifications: Requires an advanced degree and 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

PREFERENCES:
-Experienced - You have 3 to 5 years of product management experience. Experience in delivering Oil & Gas/GIS data solutions and software is a huge plus.
-Domain - Experience with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence strongly preferred. Bachelor-s Degree with a technical/geology/engineering focus preferred.
-Fascinated by data and technology - You are data driven, an eager adopter of technology who is able to see the big picture value of analytics driven solutions. You are on top of the new technologies in -Big Data- and are comfortable in engineering and business discussions around these new technology innovations.
-Evangelical - Possessing a high dose of common sense and impeccable communication skills you are comfortable in discussions with engineers and CXO-s alike. You-re a highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in EGI-s big-data mission. You can go beyond relationship management and be a world-class advocate for EGI-s geoscience data solutions.
