Job Description This is a Depot Engineering position that provides test and troubleshooting for the MLD Program.
This support includes:
• Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify Customer field returns and Engineering development hardware for an Electro-Optical Imaging System.
• Perform maintenance and technical support for products such as test equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software.
• Analyze and evaluate products and their related performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in minimum time.
• Capable of reading and interpreting Manufacturing Process Plans (MPPs), Functional Test Procedures (FTPs), and a variety of other specifications to determine the best methods of completing depot repair activities.
• Interface with multiple functional groups including: engineering administration, design, contracts, subcontracts, planning, production operations and quality personnel to achieve completion of depot operation activities.
Basic Qualifications Possess an in-depth understanding of electrical theory and circuit operation.
Working knowledge of typical electronics test equipment, or electrician s hand tools, or measuring / testing instruments, such as, multi-meters, or oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers.
Possess good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Desired skills Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with little or no direction and interface well with other Program disciplines.
Candidate should be an analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
Possess strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office software.
Test equipment design, development, and maintenance experience.
Active Secret clearance preferred.
