Role Description:
The Ideal Consultant will:
* Develop new software applications that utilize the SharePoint 2010 platform and components that meet requirement specifications.
* Create test plans and software documentation to support new releases and code modifications.
* Confer with internal customers to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs or SharePoint functionality.
* Assist other staff with SharePoint development activities.
* Develop and maintain programming/interface standards.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and established standards are in use . Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems.
* Contribute to the GlobalHue SharePoint knowledgebase by documenting system problems and resolutions for future reference Identify opportunities to continually improve the use and operation of the SharePoint platform.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of applications programming experience in the Information Systems industry
* Experience in developing and maintaining Web services and multi-threading
* SharePoint Workflow Development using SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio
* SharePoint Site Definition and Site Template Development
* SharePoint Application Page Development Skills
* SharePoint Web Part Development
* Strong knowledge and understanding in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and 2010
* Knowledge of Microsoft Business Productivity Online suite a plus
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
Required Education:
B.S. Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field
